Me blog ( take two)

Well friends, it’s been a long year since we started this journey of blogging on sociological stand points and point of views, and let me tell you what it has been exciting to enter the psychosis, and the psychosocial views of the public norms, and taboos which bring us to the point of this blog that you are currently reading. This blog is about me and if you followed my other blogs and the very first blog about me, so here goes it. Well what do you people like to know? Nothings really changed about me since the first time I blogged about myself. But since it is required to do so I'm garret last name isn't important, I love music, favorite band is in between motionless in white, Sevendust, Bring Me The Horizon, sleeping  with sirens, a lot of people outside of school call me Nero after my favorite super villain, so to together its Nero Motionless. I'm a major snake fanatic, I read a lot, and I draw. I can literally ramble on about things that interest me such things like snakes like I mentioned before, um im against bullies, I’m straight edge with means I don’t associate myself with drugs and alcohol. Im usually really nice, um yeah, so that’s me! Im exciting aren’t I? Ha-ha I knew you’d agree with me. But seriously rise above the hate and be a star. I guess I can tell a little more if you care to read a little more, well my two all-time favorite quotes are,” the strength of the wolf is the pack the strength of the pack is the wolf”, and “before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves”, first quote is by Rudyard Kipling, and the other is by Confucius, and another quote that I like is “Hope comes with a price” quoted by: Mike Champa from one of my all-time favorite bands “For All Those Sleeping”.  So that’s all im going to say about myself. BYE!!

"losers" important to society!

I agree 100% with this column that I had just read. Granted that the "losers" in our society to the jobs that the winners will not do. In this column the person asked some great questions for example...."What would happen to banks if they couldn't charge $35 for a 35-cent overdraft or credit card companies if they couldn't charge ridiculous interest and late fees"? If billions of people in the world quite would anyone notice that they had stop? Most of the counties in the United States depend on criminals paying there fines, to meet their budgets. So basically this column is saying that people that don’t get paid over 10 an hour aren’t losers it just means that they’re not economically in the lead for themselves but they survive and what little money that they get taxes get and that goes to social security.
Or when someone wins the lottery how long does that last? Will it keep that person satisfied? How long will it take till people start to try to loan a little off of that person? Tell you this much it wouldn’t take long to go through the money that you win from the lottery, it wouldn’t take long for that money to be gone so that person wouldn’t have a chance to be satisfied, and it sure and the heck wouldn’t take long for someone to come up to you and ask for money especially if it’s your family. So this column also brought that up to if someone won the lottery would it keep that person satisfied? Answer to that is no not really. Sorry not sorry.
So we the people try to tell the people that are considered that their losers to save money, try to better yourselves. But honestly to me if someone’s happy with being who they are and happy with where they are in live then so be it “don’t go and try to change someone else’s stars”. Some people in this society like the way they are no matter what you try to tell them what to do or say they’ll be themselves no matter what, and that’s fine by me I don’t really care. All people strive to be is happy, so if where they are in life let them be them and worry about yourself.
Another great question asked on this column was “Can there be winners in the stock market without losers”? I’d say no because the winners in society depend on the losers to help them out (metaphorically speaking) with their financial problems. So yeah I’m remain basis whether I completely think that winners can survive without the likes of the losers. Because of the substantial bystanders that the losers help with the fines, the taxes you know all the good stuff that makes the world go round so to speak. There still losers and winners in the same market everyday of each of the winners and the losers of society that cross paths. So yes this paper has brought up some of the pretty interesting questions and made me think of things “sociologically” on how these two sides would effect if they collided with each other? But it’s not my place to ask and answer its for your personal opinion to run wild.

Boyz In The Hood!

So we the sociology class watched the movie called “Boyz in the Hood” which yields such a major part of sociology reverences such as – Relationships, drugs, violence, family life, education, respect, and responsibility.  So with this being said I will discuss the views of the seven sociological stand point of each and every single point I listed.

So starting with Relationship – during the duration of the movie we get to see the variety of different relationships, from father and son, boyfriend and girlfriend, friend and friends that act like brothers. So anyways starting off with father and son, when Tre went to go stay with his father during so he can learn a little something about growing up. When he got to his dads house he was still little angry but as soon as his dad started talking about things that he needs to do in the house he immediately asks well what do you do in the house and he says “I bill the bill”. During the night someone broke into the father’s house, the dad grabs his 3.57 magnum and shot at the burglars head but missed. Which this brought up more points for the father to explain to Tre about growing up when Tre mentioned that he should’ve blown the guy’s head off, the father whose name is furious said “No Tre, that’ll, means that another brother is killed and that’s what they want”. The next morning Tre went over to his friend Dough boy house, and him and dough boy and dough boys brother, went to hang out with Chris. While hanging out they stumble on the wrong side of the “hood” and saw a dead body that was rotting in the blazing sun, when gang members walked up to them and asked for the boys football and that he’ll give it back, but as soon as he threw it to the gang member he walked off with it and the Ricky brother tried to get it back…. Flash forward Tre and furious were fishing and again Tre’s father asks Tre if he knew anything about “sex” and Tre replied with yeah, you stick your thing into her thing”. With that said pierce replied “Any fool can make a child, it takes a man to take care of that child”.

Next relationship is going to be – boyfriend and girlfriend – Tre has a girlfriend can’t remember what her name is. But anyway while all of his friends already had sex with women, and Tre tries to hide the fact that he is stills a virgin to escape the ridicule from his friends. But when he goes back to his father’s house to bring him food from the barbeque his dad “sniffs” then he asks him did you get “
“some” and Tre is like yeah I got some tells his father a complete lie about how he got it. Thus his dad then says that Tre I’ve told you to use protection just because she’s on the “pill” doesn’t mean she still can’t pregnant. So to bring his girlfriend into this when he asked her when she’s going to have “sex” she replied with when im married because I want to go to college and I don’t want to have sex with you because im not even sure if im actually going to marry you which shot Tre up.

The next relationship is going to be – friends that act like brothers- so when all the boys are together on doughboys porch they’re joke around by horsing around, name calling, which brings to the point that they’re friends and more than that they’re brothers.  And no matter what goes wrong inside the inner circle of brothers they’ll always come back and have each other’s back.

Violence in the hood is a major part in the hood because there’s shooting, fighting, gang wars, block wars, riots, and shoot outs, So on the movie when dough boys brother got shot all because he confronted a guy that shoulder shoved him for no reason once so ever. Thus for a couple of days they guy that shoulder shoved him would drive by his home, but once he was asked to go to the store, on the way back he was shot twice by a double barrel shot gun, which is ironic because the same day he got shot he received his test score and he received a 710 scoring but unfortunately for him he dies before being able to know what he got.

Drugs is also a major part of the hood because (not trying to sound stereotypical, or racist when I say this) the more drugs the more money intake the hood gets, like in the movie after Tre left the barbeque there was a baby in the middle of the road about to hit by a car, the baby belonged to an addicted drug user that when confronted on the baby in the she asked if he had cocaine, and that if he had she’d suck is “dick” for it. This proves to my statement above in this paragraph that drugs are a major part in the hood, with the factor of both the money intake, and the addiction that people have, are the real factors that cause all the brutal killings, thefts, and burglaries that go on in the hood.

In the movie we see that Tre’s father tries and tries to teach him responsibility in life, which proved useful further on in the movie. Case in point that when at the barbeque when Ricky’s son comes out crying he goes and takes care of him till his mom takes him. When Ricky had gotten shot dough boy went and found the guy that shot him as an act of responsibility to his brother Ricky.

Respect is another thing that you see in the hood majorly because you see gang members showing other fellow gang members of the same gang respect, family members respect, stuff like that. Tre’s has respect for his father and his friend which you can clearly see in the film. Same thing goes for dough boy he as respect for Tre and his family and his friends. So therefore respect is a major thing everywhere you turn no matter how little it is presented it is still there.

Education in the movie to Ricky and Tre was important, because Ricky wanted to further his career in football so he applied for a scholarship which he took the test and got 710 on the test which he only needed 700 to get the scholarship he needed to get him into college and play football.  Tre also to further his education so he also took the test to get some scholarships test score unknown, but at the end of the film he gets into college. Which (again not trying to sound racist or stereotypical) not a lot of people from the hood get into college.

Family life in the hood and in the movie can be a little to judge and tell because there are a lot of people that have kids. But in the movie Tre’s father shows the fatherly manly side that Tre needed to be, Ricky took care of his son with pride. So pretty much I can say that the family life in the movie is strong like a brother hood.

Catfish

So in class we watched the movie called "Catfish" which is basically about people using false pictures of other people as their Facebook profile photos luring in unsuspecting male and or females. the definition of this type catfish is that there people that keep you on your toes. the whole general idea where this came from was when people used to ship Cod fish over to china in vast but sometimes the cod would get sluggish and the flesh would turn into mush and become tasteless so the people that would ship the cod over would put catfish in with the cod to keep the cod from getting mushy.
So the movie we watched was catfish and the person that was spotlighted was  Nev Schulman, and his brother Rel Schulman, Rel was the person that videoed this movie, and during the process of the beginning of this movie Nev had received oil paintings from this "nine year old girl" and they were pretty good paintings mind you. over due period of time Nev have received these packages from this girl who's name was Abby, that's where he started talking to Angela over the phone about Abby's paining's and then the "whole family" friended Nev on Facebook. When Nev received a friend request from Abby's older sister "Megan Faccio", her and Nev started to talk to each other more and more as time went along, any who they started to "like each other" which led to them dating over the phone and over the internet. But shortly after this happened when Nev and Rel and Henry went to Denver, Megan said she'll do covers of any songs that Nev wanted her to, because she was supposedly a "model and a singer" so they asked her to make a cover of Tennessee Stud which she said she did and when Nev listen to it he shortly after figured it was a fake because on YouTube and busted her on it.
Then they went to where the heck she said she's from, to visit her and her family which of course we know that know that she isn't real but they wanted to bust her for it thus sooner they met the whole family. Abby and her friend practically busted Angela right away, but Nev decided it might be a better decision if she admitted it herself. Which shortly after when Nev, Rel, Abby, And Angela were at some horse farm place where Abby was riding a horse while Nev and Angela were talking and she basically admitted to Nev that she is Megan Faccio her Supposed daughter.
So after all this was said and done it said at the end of the film that Megan Faccio doesn't exist, the photo that she used was really Aimee Gonzales and there isn't a Megan at Dawn farms.
So Nev learned his lesson on dating people that look strangely enough like a model.
To answer the question does everyone have a catfish in there life? sources say not everyone but pretty much everyone has someone in their life that they are suspicious about. to make things personal do I have a catfish in my life? The answer to that question is yes because there's always that one person that tries to impress me by send me photo's of themselves which of course they choose a different photo every time and every time is a different girl. So yes I have a catfish in my life! The question is do you catfish in your life?

Social Racism!

When I read that page  review about the Korean Basket ball player and how that Jews where the first to play basketball I think that it is the core meaning of social racism and racist profiling that Jews are short, slow, big noses. That Koreans are short and fast is the key ideology of Racist profiling to me that's just wrong I don't know about you and how you feel about it, but that's just me believes on the idea of picking and choosing the races that get to play the sport without  being judged on whether your "black, white, Hispanic, Indian, native, Chinese, Japanese, and or Korean. It shouldn't matter what background you came from whether that background you came from was gang related, jail related, drug related, etc... it really shouldn't matter if your good at a certain sport than that's all that should matter. But again that's my opinion and I completely understand that everybody has their own opinion on things in life, but that's how I was raised in not being racist, and commit racial conflict in different races.

Same goes for gay, bi, lesbian, pansexual, transsexual, and heterosexual or whatever sexual orientation you happen to be... to me if you're a nice person that has a sense of humor and a great personality than its all good! I'm not the type to judge people on what they are imperfections are so idiotic, same goes for when people bully people that are gay or being retarded, or being ugly, it really doesn't matter I mean "haters will be haters no matter how much you try to be different to be liked there'll still be haters that will judge you". That’s my philosophy on the matter and especially on the topic racial reports, letters, you just got to be yourself forget the haters because that’s all they are is haters.

aliens

I believe that illegal aliens and or alien commuters should have the right to be here on visa account only no fun aloud only to work because either way they're here illegally taking jobs away from hard working Americans across the US. then they go back to help there families then come back for work.
either way I really just don't want them here because there's too many of them around making taxes go up, causing the drug rate to higher and be distributed to younger generations, causing the space in the jails and prison systems to freeze up because there's too many Spanglish Spanish and many other varieties of nations in the system causing the system to let people out just to fit more in. So I can't permit that any of them come in to this country unless they have a green card and or a work visa to work and to support there families only. Sorry not Sorry. I'm not racist I'm not prejudice they just need to not be here over a long period of time with out just cause.

animal farm connection quiz.

So I finished the book animal’s farm. I'm going to try to attempt to connect Animal farm with some social theories that we have studied during and throughout this class year. Such theories as listed, the conflict theory, and the functionalist theory. In my attempt which I'm sure I'm going to fail epically but here goes it.

Anyways during reading of animal farm it brought an idea to me that I could possibly tie this into the conflict theory, for example during when I was reading there were a lot of conflicts between animals and man, animals and animals fighting each other for control of the farm, how I tie this into the conflict theory you may ask? Well this is how I draw it into the conflict theory.  I tie it into the theory I mentioned above is that conflict theory is pretty self-explanatory if you think about it, because conflict deals with fighting, and fighting deals with the proclaim conflict theory that I’m talking about. Like in the midst of the book after Old Major died, Snowball took over and rose up the farm to better standards than what the actual owner Mr. Jones had left it after the animals took control of the farm. So from then on Snowball and the rest of the animals made a list of rules that had to be followed by the other animals, in which there was this “Pig” that wouldn’t obey the rules that were presented in front of him and that “pigs” name was Napoleon who in fact had had rouge dogs to attack Snowball hints why is stated the point that the story is connected to the conflict theory.

Next I’ll try and connect this story with “the functionalist theory” so after Napoleon had Snowball chased away from the farm, he immediately assumed control of the farm. In doing so he named himself ruler of the farm, and made the pigs part of the royal family and making the rest of the animals on the farm basically slaves to substances and for them to do all the work sometimes working them to hard. Still the pigs ate better, rested better, and were better than the other animals that had now currently been from created equal, to minimize to nothing more than a common “slave” so to speak.   So in speaking of such, how does this attain to the functionalist theory you might well ask? Well here’s how it fits in with that theory.  It fits in because after the pigs  had risen to power of the farm Napoleon started working with humans, in which we know from the guideline rules set by yours truly Snowball, “ Two legs bad, four legs good” which Napoleon had broken many upon many of times to get whatever he wanted from the outside of the farm. So whatever hard work the other animals did it was spent of the easy labored pigs to support their life style.

The next theory I would like to connect this story with is the social class, because the pigs thought themselves as the other animals superior and nothing were above the pigs. The pigs thought they were the most important animal on the farm which in thinking so they spent whatever money they ever received on lavish foods, better living courters than those of the ones that live in the barn, chicken coop, or pen. Which also brings me to the next theory which is social deviance, I believe while reading this that Napoleon had become overzealous with power, and in doing so he would sometimes act ill rationally towards those of whom weren’t pigs, especially when he didn’t get his way he’d either threaten or he’d actually have the dogs attack and sometimes kill the oppose victim.

Another theory that I’m trying to connect in with this story is the reward theory, because after Napoleon had thought he had done something good he would reward himself with sweet jams and jellies. And drink whatever he could get his dirty little snout on. Which was liquor, which when he did not have it he had become extremely angry with everyone until he got some which I also would tie this into functionalist theory.

The very last theory I’d tie this into would be capitalism because napoleon believed that all for one and one for all kind of ruling, even so he ruled with an iron fist to those that lived outside of the pigs standard of social class. It’s no wonder that was over ruled and kicked out of his position of power.
